Gents! Self care is vital in the lead up to your big day (yes, that does include you too!). You want to be on your best form. Be the man of the hour and the king of the day. Take these simple steps to get you going...


1. Skin care

Skin care is very important in the lead up to your wedding. Grooms you should be preparing your skin months in advance to your big day. Changes in your skin care regime like making sure you are washing your face with facial wash twice a day. Use a cleanser to exfoliate and remove impurities; this will also help with ingrown hairs, razor bumps and irritation.

2. Hair care

Hair care is essential gents. You want to be looking your best throughout the day. Make sure you know the look you want on your wedding. Whether it be clean-shaven or full beard. You will have to maintain the look on the run up to the wedding so see a barber to make sure your hair is tidy and in top condition. You may need to trim your neck and hairline just before the big day. 


3. Manicure and Pedicure

Masculine manicure is required to make sure your nails are looking their best. Your hands will play a big part on the day, so make sure they look neat, tidy and ready for the camera when showing off your new ring!


4. Fitness

Fitness must come first for any man making room to become a groom! You want to feel good all over and have as much energy as you can get. The build up to the wedding can be stressful so make sure you get plenty of exercise even if it’s a daily walk. 


5. Diet

Get the right food inside you; so yes, consider your diet! The last thing you want to be doing is consume all the wrong ‘junk’ foods. Lay off the sausage rolls and crisps until your wedding. You want to make sure you fit into that suave suit you just got tailored. Remember, it’s not so much on the amount you eat; it’s what you eat. Gents take care of your health.


6. Sleep

Sleep well every night. All grooms should be getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night. If you are not managing this, get into the routine; you will thank us for it later. Your skin will benefit and your mind will be well rested.
